Central Texas Ghost
Search is a paranormal research team out of Abilene,
Texas. We have also added a chapter in the Austin area.
Our goal and purpose is to search for evidence of the
paranormal while also educating the public about paranormal
research, the scientific possibility of the presence of
ghosts, and the mechanics of a haunting. Our first objective
in any investigation is to search for and rule out any 'normal'
causes for the unusual activity. If none can be found, our
team uses up-to-date investigating equipment to search for
objective, measurable data dealing with changes in the atmosphere
that may indicate the presence of a paranormal entity. We do
not use psychics or mediums as our sole evidence, although we do
occasionally use them in addition to our technology just to verify
and clarify some of what we get with our equipment.. We also do not
perform any cleansing or exorcisms of any kind. We are
strictly a research team dedicated to researching and
documenting evidence as well as helping those with a haunting to
understand what is going on. We believe that if a spirit is
present in any location, it should be treated with respect and
dignity and we do not participate in the newly popular method of
'provoking' the spirits. Our research and documentation is
based on photography, both digital and 35 mm, audio recordings (EVP),
IR video, temperature readings, as well as electromagnetic field
changes (EMF detectors). With advances in technology coming at an
extraordinary pace, who is to say that we won’t eventually have a
device that can prove, 100%, that ghosts do exist. Until then, our
group will continue our quest to collect data that is beyond the
normal so that we can further understand the unknown.
